The design phases of building your dream home are among the most exciting, and our in-house team is excited to work with you every step of the way. Your designers and architects will help personalize every detail of your new luxury home. Expect a few in-person meetings to review material samples, select finishes and fixtures, and review renderings of your new home.

First, we need to develop a shared understanding of your style preferences. What colors and finishes stand out to you? What features have you always dreamt of?

Your first design appointment will be a virtual meeting to review and refine the inspiration gallery your designer has compiled.
Our aim is to fully adopt your vision before we begin selecting finishes and fixtures.
Exterior
design meeting
Once we share a vision for your new home you will be invited to join us at the Sage Homes Design Studio to select exterior design finishes.
Expect an active collaboration comparing material samples, reviewing colors, and selecting exterior features and finishes for your new home.
INTERIOR
DESIGN MEETING
Your second design appointment continues focusing on the details, transitioning from exterior to interior selections.
Here we will dive into the heart of your home by considering decisions such as countertops, flooring, appliances, finishes, features, and much more.
At this point you will also receive and review custom renderings of your new home from your Sage Homes architect.

& final finishes
As a final step we will discuss system details like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. We also reserve this time for any final adjustments, additions, or subtractions before finalizing your design home’s package.

Before design begins, our sales team will help you finalize a structural plan for your new home.
Once structural plans are finalized you will be introduced to your designer, who will schedule your Design Studio appointments in a design orientation meeting.

Expect three to four design meetings, ranging from one to four hours each.

In an effort to respect your time and your home’s design we ask that only buyers attend design meetings. Of course, special arrangements can be made by contacting your designer.

We prioritize the safety of all of our guests and work to provide the best design experience to each of our buyers.
Our design studio houses many large, and often heavy design samples that require a great amount of care, and we do not want to risk a child being hurt due to the nature of these pieces.
Additionally, the design appointment often requires focus and contemplation on the part of the buyer to ensure that each buyer will love the design of their new home. We have found that often times when children attend design appointments, they distract from the focus required and can hinder the success of an appointment.
For these reasons, we ask that buyers do not bring children to design appointments.
